 Beyonce, took home six Grammy Awards, including "Song of the Year" (for "Single Ladies"), breaking the record for most Grammy Awards won by a female artist in a single year, while bringing her career Grammy total up to 16.
Beyonce, who also tied the record with ten nominations for a female artist in a single year (shared with Lauryn Hill), took home honors in the following categories:
- Song of the Year ("Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)")
- Best Female Pop Vocal Performance ("Halo")
- Best Female R&B Vocal Performance ("Single Ladies")
- Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance ("At Last")Best R&B Song ("Single Ladies")
- Best Contemporary R&B Album (I AM... SASHA FIERCE)
